PO for Vendor with Multiple Address - Sales Tax India

HI,

I need to raise a PO for a vendor who supplies material from Different location.

For Eg.

I have a supplier, who supplies 3 materials from 3 of his warehouses , The supplier  Supplies Item A from Location1 , Item B from location2 and Item C from location3.

I have made the Location1 as primary.

When i need to raise a PO for Item B / Item C, i am going to the master and changing the respective warehouse as primary to enabled in the selection.

is there any way to avoid

    Hi Sriram GS,

    Yes. you need to change the primary address when creating a PO every time.

    Hi Sriram GS，

    Why do you need to change the shipping address? Under normal circumstances, we are more concerned with the delivery address in PO.

    If this is rare, you can only enter and change the master data, and if it is large, you need to customize it

    HI,

    I give you a live example.

    I have a supplier for safety equipment. He supplies the following

    • Goggles from Location A (Primary)
    • Safety Shoes from Location (B) and
    • Nose mask from Location C

    Whenever I raise the PO for safety shoes or nose mask and takes the copy of the PO , address will be for Location A instead of Location B or C , since location A is primary. During this period, the primary is changed respectively to have the correct details.

    We cannot create different vendor for different location under same name.

    else as informed, we may go for customizing. please advise

    Hello Sriram GS,

    I don't understand why you have to make a change or a setup here.

    Does it really matter to you from where a supplier ships his goods to your company?

    As long as they arrive in the place for which you ordered it, it should not matter where the supplier gets the stuff from.

    Can you explain / elaborate?

    Hi Ludwig,

    Earlier it was not an issue.There is no impact on the receipt location, whereas Now with the implementation of GST in India, this is critical to claim the input tax. The allocation varies based on the goods shipped location in the GL.

    The issue seems then primarily related to sales tax in India.
