How to setup multiple workers in a Production route along with Machines for each operation

Dear All,
Please help in setting up workers against each operations along with the machines.... My scenario is as follows:
  • I have the route defined as follows:
  • There 2 Operations (Let us say OP1 an OP2)
  • For Each operation, there are resources (Machines) attached
  • The resource groups are attached, and system will take the available resources
  • I have Job scheduling enabled.
  • System is able to generate schedules and I am able to post the job card.

Now, I would like to define the number of manpower in the same route..

  • There are 10 workers working on the OP1 and I do not want to define individual workers
  • I just want to setup a single worker/worker group and define the number of workers in the route
  • I define a per hour rate for each worker using cost category
  • When the job scheduling takes place, system should arrive at the total working hours for all 10 workers (No need to have schedule generated for individual workers)
  • At the end, when I post the job card, system should calculate the cost based on number of workers, hourly rate and actual run time.
Can we achieve this in AX2012 R3?

You cannot say "workers x10" as standard. You need to setup a labour resource group and then have the number of generic labourers you need and then state it on the route as requiring 10 resources.

Add them as secondary operations and they are then scheduled as part of it. I would look at doing this through overhead cost absorption if you are not really using shop floor and logging actual time.

To post a job card and say we worked 6 hours and there were 10 workers against 1 generic worker is a customisation.
