Bulk deleting Audit Logs for a specific entity

Posted on by 1,320

I only want to delete the Audit Logs for the Timecard entity, and only for a specific created on date range. Is this possible? I'm looking in the Audit Log Management and do not see additional options for which audit logs I want to delete.

    Hi,

there is a DeleteAuditDataRequest in the SDK:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../microsoft.crm.sdk.messages.deleteauditdatarequest.aspx

The way I understand it, you can only delete all audit log records up until a specific date using that request. Which means you can't really get around it in the user-interface either(although, I don't think there is a way to delete audit log records from the user interface at all).

     Here is another thread:

    community.dynamics.com/.../160313

It's a bit older one, but I don't think auditing functionality has changed since then.
