Thanks,

    Hi István

I am using AX7/D365O developing a solution using extensions and have created a class extension of the table ProdJournalProd, however I cant seem to be able to create an edit method that is visible from the form. I get this error:

Path: [AxFormExtension/ProdJournalTransProd.EbecsExtension/Controls/FormExtensionControlinyyfueu1/ProdJournalProd_LBAQtyGood/DataMethod]:The data method 'GoodQty' was not found on the data source 'ProdJournalProd' or its base table/view.

    Thanks,

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

Did you create your display method in the table extension class? Did you create the new field on the form extension?

    Kind Regards,

    István

    Hi Joe Brewer,

To use display method created on extension you need to use specific syntax. So if extension class name is "MyExtension" and display method name is "myDisplayMethod" you need to put "MyExtension::myDisplayMethod" in data method property of control.

    Please refer for details
