To produce article 1 we use normally the ingredients A, B and C. So the production BOM of article 1 is A, B and C.
Now we have a left over stock of ingredient D. Two of our customers accept it when we add ingredient D to item 1 instead of ingredient C. when ingredient D runs out we will continue using ingredient C.
Is it possible to create an article BOM version specifically for two customers who accepted to use ingredient D?

I know how to add an extra version for a production BOM. I only don't know how to choose this extra version when I make a 'new released production order'. In the field 'production BOM no' I don't see the extra version. I don't find it in other fields either.
it is possible to create a version but no possible to link a version specifically for someone.
with that being said, you could pick what version to use after the production order is created.
