I have a couple of questions regarding the security roles we can use in Dynamics CRM 2016, we are using a custom-made role based on one of the standard roles:
- First of all, an issue we are currently having is the fact that the "set regarding"-button in Outlook (2016) doesn't seem to copy the data chosen for the "set regarding" functionality to Dynamics CRM.
In Dynamics CRM itself, the email we want to track shows up but the "regarding"-field is empty.
In other words, does anyone know why this might happen. Or possibly which entities exactly need to be configured in the security role for a user to able to use the "Track" and "Set regarding" buttons in CRM for Outlook correctly?
- Secondly, the "synchronize with CRM"-button also isn't shown for some users. My guess is that this is also a security issue since users with a different security role do have this button in their Outlook. I already checked File->CRM but the option to synchronize is not shown.
