How can I remove the Inventory module in GPv2010?

We upgraded our GPv9 to GPv2010 recently and activated the Inventory module.  Our Receivables Management is now constantly asking for a SiteID link before we can access it.  How can I use Inventory when I am a service-based company, and if this is not applicable to me, how can I remove Inventory and restore my AR functions?

I believe there is a confusion on how you worte the question, the Receivables module will not ask you for a site ID, but the Receivings does, if you are asking about when you go to Receivings Transaction entry and there its asking you for Site ID and you dont want to use it, then try this:

Go to Tools > Setup > Registration, then scroll down to Inventory Control, uncheck its box, save and then when you go back to Receivings Transaction entry window and create a new trx, you will see that the grid automatically disables the SiteID by graying it out.

I would agree with David, can you send a screenshot of the screen where this prompt appears? Do you have some third party products that could be causing this? There is no link between RM and IV.

Inventory is often times used in service based companies to track the sales of service related items during the sales order invoicing process.  Different inventory Items (these are actually service items so inventory quantities are not tracked) can be set-up for different services "CONSULTING", "HARDWARE INSTALL" etc.. with Quantities based on units sold or hours worked.  Invoices can then be delivered to your customers with the detailed breakdown of services delivered.

Receivables Transaction Entry does not make any mention of Site ID.  What window are you receiving the message from?  What is the exact message you are receiving?
