Hello All Experts,

I have one production DB backup .

I have restore it on dev and on qc.

When i am writing a query ass below on both the organization from dev and qc.

SELECT * FROM BusinessUnitBase

The BusinessUnitId and BusinessUnitName (Name) are same across both organizations.

Later on i have again restore the same db and imported the organization again on dev environemnt.

Now what i see that the BusinessUnitId are different and BusinessUnitName (Name) are same across both organizations on dev environemnt?

Hope you guys understand the issue.

can anyone suggest me what could be the issue.

One more time i did the practice of deleting the organization and database and again restoring the same copy as of production backup backup.

but still i find that the guid's for the businessunits are getting changed.

i think this is the behaviour of crm itself , whenever we want to import the organization more than ones for the same database then this happens.

correct me if i am wrong.

    Hi,

not sure why would it do it - it would have to update half of the database if it changes business unit id-s.. are you sure there is no "user error" here (could it be a different backup?)

    Hello Experts,

Is that because the database is restored on the dev environment again and having different database name while importing the organizatoin the organizationid become different so the businessunitid got changed.??
