Model still shows in Visual Studio after being removed

Hello, I removed a model with

ModelUtil.exe -delete -metadatastorepath=K:\AOSService\PackagesLocalDirectory -modelname=PRD511
and also deleted the folder PRD511 in 
K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory
I model refresh in Visual Studio under the Dynamics 365 menu item. But in Application Explorer the model still shows but is italicized.
How do I remove it?

    Italicized means binary modules.

    I bet you compiled that code at some point. "models" are code artifacts, so the modelutil DELETE action removed the code. But you still have the binaries there. Those show up in the AOT italicized (no code, but binaries are there).

    Close Visual Studio, stop the batch process and IIS. Then remove the whole folder for your whole model in K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory (if you don't stop the services, the files can't be delete since they're in use).

    My problem was Visual Studio had cached the model list somehow, even though I did refresh models. To fix, close and restart Visual Studio.
