Stock Count is being edited by another user GP2013

Hi,

We have one TEST stock count created in GP, which cannot be deleted as it says "This stock count is being edited by another user". There are no user logged in.

The problem it creates is that we cannot proceed with new stock take. It allows to print stock count sheets however the Start Count button stays active....

Any ideas?

Hi Mahmoud,

Many thanks for your help. It worked perfectly!

However I thought this was stopping me from Starting new stock count.

No I can edit the one which was being edited, but when I am trying to start new stock count I can produce the list of items but it still doesn't start count.

We have Catchweights module and noticed that I can start count for all items apart from the ones where we track dual qty.

Any thoughts on that?

Hi Larocca!

Mahmoud is absolutely correct, if no users are in Dynamics GP when you are receiving this error there is more than likely a stuck activity record. Before you run the scripts that were posted as Mahmoud had mentioned you will want to make sure no user is in Dynamics GP as it will remove them when you clear the records.

Hello Larocca

There should be a lock record preventing holding this stock count. To resolve the issue, ensure that all Dynamics GP users are out of the system and run the below:

SELECT * FROM DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY SELECT * FROM DYNAMICS..SY00800 SELECT * FROM DYNAMICS..SY00801 SELECT * FROM TEMPDB..DEX_LOCK SELECT * FROM TEMPDB..DEX_SESSION

If any records are retrieved, you will have to proceed and delete these lock records by running the below:

DELETE DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00800 DELETE DYNAMICS..SY00801 DELETE TEMPDB..DEX_LOCK DELETE TEMPDB..DEX_SESSION

Again, remember to have all the users out of the system before you start running any script.
