GP 2013 Write Off Issue

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 110

"No documents were found matching the criteria selected." message received despite all valid settings and it worked previously.

Now when clicking the Preview button, I keep getting the above message even though I was able to successfully write off both overpayments and underpayments previously.

Is there anyone else experiencing the same thing in GP 2013 SP1?

Are you 100% sure that Writeoffs are allowed in Customer Options?

The Unlimited (or Maximum) option is marked (or selected) for Maximum Writeoff in the Customer Maintenance Option window.

Ok, I have to ask. Do you in fact have any documents that match the criteria? Is your Write off limit too low?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Yes, I have documents meeting the criteria. No, the write off limit is not set too low. BTW, we were able successfully write off documents a few months ago but now it seems we can't. I've checked the Customer Maintenance and Customer Maintenance Options windows to make sure the settings were correct and they are correct.

    Darned,

This one I would have to see. I've not run into the problem, something must have changed. If you want, I'll volunteer to remote with you and actually take a look.

    Kind regards,

Well apparently the issue has resolved itself for some unknown reason. We can now perform write offs like before the issue surfaced.

I am experiencing this issue now. Seems to only be for documents from the prior fiscal year. Not sure if there is a restriction on the date the document can be written off for.

Open the customer card and click on Options, In there is Maximum Writeoff set to something other than Not Allowed?

In Receivables Setup Options, is there a next document number for Write off Credit Memos and Write-off Debit Memos?

What is being entered for Cutoff Date?  Documents with Document Dates on or AFTER this date will not be eligable to be Written Off.

What is being set as the Write Off limit?  It should not be left at $0.00.

Are you trying to write off amounts for National Accounts?  These cannot be written off against the parent account.  They must be written off against the Child Account.

Select Underpayments to write off unpaid invoices.

Select Overpayments to write off unapplied payments.

    Hi Jo,

I already have it as Maximum.

Yes I have a next document number.

The date i am using is current date.

I filled in the write off limit way higher than the write off value.

    Not national account.

Used both underpayment and overpayment and neither works.
