365I'm struggling to turn on hierarchy visualisation on contact records that I have for accounts.
I have read all the guides on here and have followed them exactly but still no joy.
- Created a relationship between a contact and a contact. Stated that this relationship is hierarchical.
- In hierarchy settings 4 possible relationships appeared but I chose the new one. "is hierarchy" is set to yes. Clicked done.
- The field that is a lookup using this relationship is on the form.
No symbols appear in my views and "view hierarchy" is not an option from the command bar in contact records.
1) Is there a delay between setting this up and it appearing in CRM? Is it like a roll-up query where you need to wait?
2) Does it matter in the type of relationship? My account relationship where this works is parental but for my contacts it is referential, restrict delete. I would not think this would happen.
3) Is there something else I need to do to make the options available from the view or from the command bar.
