Global search - command bar

Hi guys,

is it possible to customize command bar in global search result page? There are 3 buttons (new activity, new record, import data) and I need to add new one.

I'm using Ribbon Workbench to customize other entities but can figure out how to do something here.

I tried add button on global command bar and add hide rule like ...Get entitytypecode and if not multientitysearch (9910) -> hide. but I can't add that script to that page - or I don't know how to do it.

Is there supported way?

CRM is 2016 onpremise.

Thanks in advice.

    Hi SLCozby,

    I've found solution.

You need to update "Application Ribbons". In your solution for ribbon workbench (I'm using separate small solution for updates) add Components -> Client Extensions -> Add Existing -> Application Extensions.

Then open solution in Ribbon Workbench.

There are 3 lines with ribbons Home, SubGrid, Form.

In Home ribbon it's 1st ISV section you need to add button there. It's after first two buttons.

Then you need to define DisplayRule to show only on multientitysearch pages.

Add PageRule with address : /multientityquickfind/multientityquickfind.aspx

    ta bum tss, done :)

    hope it helps.

    Hi Duchan,

I've tried this exactly as you said, but it's not working in CRM on premises v 8.2.2

Did you put something else, a wildcard, etc ??

I left Default and InvertResult blank, is it ok ?

    Thanks.
