Sales Trial version: I cannot add products to quotes or orders when both productid and productdescription are filled in

I am currently testing out the trial version of MS dynamics 365 Sales but I ran into one important problem that I can't seem to fix:

When I want to add existing products to a quote, I keep receiving the same error:

I have used both the included demo products in the trial and made my own. Both give me the same error.

If I leave out the description, there is no error. But it is essential for me to be able to add descriptions on quotes that I send out to customers.

I know I can always add them later for each product individualy but, it seems more efficient if I could keep the descriptions in the products catalogue.

(I also saw that there were some demo quotes already created and these had products that contained both id's and descriptions, so it looks like it should just work)

Does anyone know if there are certain settings I need to change in order it to be possible to add descriptions to quote products?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Jono Sonck,

I have raised a ticket to ask about this issue to the Microsoft. This is a bug when enable 'Enhanced add product experience'. But there is no ETA by now.

As a workaround, you could disable 'Enhanced add product experience' settings, and then add quote product is ok.

    You can disable it here:

    Hey Steve,

Thanks for the feedback on this query.

Our team uses the 'Enhanced add product experience' extensively. We're experiencing the same issue across both our Sales Hub and Customer Service Hub modules.

Has Microsoft given any feedback on a resolution?

Can you please share the best location for us to log the issue with MS and/or add support to your one?

    Many thanks

    Dylan

    Hi All,

I am facing the same issue. Is there is any solution I need to deliver it to the client on prior basis.

I logged this with Microsoft and the last I heard was that they are set to deploy a fix to Canada region Fri 31/03 and US in early May.
