First you need to learn about how to create a CRM record using the Organization Service in C#.

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg328416.aspx

=> You can get the sample code in the SDK, if you don't have please go and download

Once you know that, you can then put the same piece of code in your portal for the "Submit" button action.

We created a new web page with an entity form on contact. That way, the portal user enters directly a new contact. The original contact us form is not used in our portal.

Any reason why you should use the existing form (which create a Lead if I remember correctly)

    Hi Krishna,

The simplest approach would be do write some code in your ASP.NET or C# to create the Contact record similar to the sample given in MSDN link.

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg328416.aspx

Create a new form or add a tab in an existing form which will contain all fields required. Create a new entity form for contact entity use the above mentioned form/tab. Use this entity form on the web page. This should allow you to add contacts in CRM.

Hi Birgit, what you mentioned is correct. As OOB feature, when an user submits "Contact Us" form on portal, it will create a lead in CRM, which is expected, as that new user would be a lead rather a contact in general sense. But, as per my knowledge we cannot send invitations to a Lead, that's why we do create a separate form like "request access"/"contact"/"contact us" to create a contact record into CRM and triggers an

Email with an invitation code to that contact to register into Portal.
