I have a customized payroll application (VB.NET 2017) that I need to export the payroll data into Dynamics SL.
What would be the simplest way to do that

The simplest way is for the payroll app to produce a file suitable for the Journal Transactions screen. Both the payroll app and SL should share or translate accounts codes. This way, the wage expense, social security withholds, bonuses, etc; will be accounted for in SL.
One key element in order to define how tight the integration will be is whether the payroll app will produce the pay checks (or electronic payment), or SL will do that.
