Excel Reports: Not implemented

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

I have a working GP2013 R2 environment however after deploying reports through Reporting Tools Setup I still have a red circle with a line through it with the Not implemented status.

I have tried to deploy locally as well as a network share.

I have full admin rights to everything.

What am I possibly missing...(I did not have this problem with GP2010)

Thank you GP Gurus...

Are you using UNC path, Make sure the location you are pointing to have permissons and  data connections and reports folder deployed there or not.

    I have full permissions.

I am using a mapped drive that I am able to browse to, I have also attempted to deploy to the UNC

When deploying the reports it says…there are no reports to deploy for the selected options…

    Thank you…..

what happens when your redeploy them. Check the checkbox to redeploy and tried UNC patch \\servername\GPReports

When progress bar finish open folder GP Reports and look if there is data in it or not.

    Thanks.

the SSRS reports redeploy thats it! no reports in the gpreports folder. Like I said before, I did this in GP2010 without issue but cannot get my excel reports to deploy...odd!

the boxes are not even there to check, just the red circle with a line through it.

    Michael,

If you haven't done so already, it is a good idea to flag the "Run as Administrator" option on the Dynamics GP Icon Compatibility Tab under properties.  You should always start Dynamics GP by running as Administrator when making changes to the program.  Additionally, you should make sure UAC is disabled on the workstation.  Here is a link on how to deploy the Excel reports.  The UAC setting can be sneaking, because it doesn't always affect installation/changes, and when it does, it can throw errors that are a far cry from "UAC is enabled and should be disabled".

    Michael,

I am having the same issue as you.  You can't check the reports to deploy because there is no box to check.  I haven't been able to find anything on how to "implement" the Excel reports instead of how to "deploy" them.  I was going to try creating a new company database in Dyn Utilities, and then when I get to the last step, click both the boxes for SSRS and Excel Reports.  I'm hoping when I log into the new database after that, I will see a check box instead of a circle with a line through it.  I'll let you know my results.

It will be interesting to see the resolution on this one.  I have tried many times to deploy Excel and SSRS reports on various of my laptops and can never make it work.  I think it requires a full moon and some voodoo.

This worked for me.  I created a new company using utilities, and after the database is created it asks you if you want to deploy SSRS or Excel reports.  I checked the boxes and it deployed them right away.  Then just restore a backup of the old company over the newly created company and good to go.  When I log into Dynamics and go to Reporting Tools Setup, there is now a green checkmark next to Excel reports.

I had this issue yet again with a client.  When you go in to deploy the reports, they all say "not implemented" with the red circle and line instead of a check box next to them.  The fix ended up being very simple.  After you enter your options, such as choosing network share and entering the report URL's, simply click the refresh button in the deployment status section.

After clicking this button to refresh, both the SRS and Excel reports changed to check boxes and we were able to deploy.
