
When I am in an activity or a Case, and I click the "Assign" button in the ribbon bar, the "Assign to Team or User" window appears. I then select "User or Team" in the Assign To field and now in the User or team field I click there and see a lot of user accounts that begin with a #. I would like to filter those out and then always ensure that when a person clicks Assign and goes into the User or team field that the # user accounts, don't appear. How can I do this?

You can add filter to the entity lookup view to filter user that contain ‘#’.
Go Settings > Customization > Customize the system > Entities > User > Views.
Find lookup view and open it to click ‘Edit Filter Criteria’ to add filter.
For example, I select ‘User lookup view’, which is default lookup view of user.
Then Save and publish all customizations.
If you need, you can set filter in all lookup view for user and teams entities.
