Creating Sales Order with desire are manually sequence number

Dear Experts,

I have a requirement , i want to make a Sales order with number  SO-798, but when i am creating the Sales order the system automatically take SO-782. Now, i want to create a Sales order with SO-798 after completing this the system automatically start from its actual number sequence number namely SO-782.

    Hello Shabir,

    Do I understand you correct that you want to have a manual number sequence for the sales orders?

    Have you checked the respective number sequence and tried changing it to a manual number sequence definition/assignment?

    Hi Shabir,

    Have you enabled the continuous option for this number sequence? In that case, it will try to re-use numbers from deleted sales orders or re-use numbers which might get in the number sequence related status list for another reason. You can disable the continuous option or remove the record with this number from the status list.

    Hi Shabir,

    You can just change the number sequence to SO-798 on "Next Rec" field of the sales order number sequence.
