Inventory Bins - Can they have descriptions, volumes, types?

Posted on by 165

I'm still learning this system but I'll be darn if I can find any fields to help document bin locations under sites. Is there any way to give them descriptions, volumes, classify them to hold certain kinds of inventory, make them active / inactive, etc. ???

Another thought, you could use Extender to create an additional window where you could record specific data for a Site Bin.

Hi, some options you might consider if you can't find a place record additional information against a site/bin combination.

Click on Cards >> Inventory >> Item. Call up an Item and then select 'Quantities / Sites' from the drop down menu at the top right hand corner of this window. Click on Site ID and select a site. Then click on the Bins button at the bottom of the window. Here you can enter Min / max quantities and select a bin priority.

To record Site Bin specific text, you might consider using the Site Bin note. Click on Cards >> Inventory >> Bins/Site. Select a site and click on a bin line. Then click on the yellow notes button just above the right hand scrolling bar. This allows you to record a note against a site bin combination.
