I have a client considering an upgrade to SL 2018. They are currently on 2011 and as part of the upgrade want to expanding the current use of their system to include inventory and purchasing.
As part of this consideration the question arose. They have multiple companies in a single database and use the multi-company module. One of their requirements is they will need to transfer inventory across companies. Can that be done through the inventory module alone or would they have to consider use of order management and the transfer step? At this point there is no direct sales, so other than this transfer question, I'd hate for them to have to have to keep process manager running for a limited use function.
A follow up question, is there any update as to the next major release of SL?
