Microsoft is demanding my number to verify my account, I lost my phone some days ago and I don't have access to my SIM
Looking at the cost and the mobility I prefer the sms-man.com guys. I have UK and New Zealand virtual numbers from them both being forwarded to my phone in Nigeria. It's great as I can get SMS pointed to anywhere I need. The guys are sms-man.com
I know this is an old thread, but I'd still like to share my 2 cents. I totally get where you're coming from. I mean, having to give out your phone number for verification can be a hassle. I know there are some sites out there that provide temporary phone numbers for verification purposes. Just be sure to choose a reputable site so your privacy stays safe. Also, you might want to check if there are any other ways to verify your account with Microsoft. Hope this still helps!
