Deleting an empty fixed asset GL batch - GP 2013

I retired an asset at the end of September.  I unretired and re-retired it a couple of times, testing the depreciation.  Since then I have had the FATRX00000135 batch (empty of transactions) hanging in the window.  Today I ran check links on my Financial and now my Financial Series Posting window looks like this.

Can anyone help?  Thanks!!

Try entering a balanced entry into the batch (anything really) then print an edit list, to see if any errors show up, if not, then you should be able to safely delete the batch.  You should try this before trying to delete using SQL.

So we are talking about a stuck batch in General Ledger which neither can be edited or deleted. Do you have SQL knowledge to handle deleting the Journal Entry from the database level ?

The error I get when trying to Post the batch is 'Transaction Error - Edit Required'.  The batch is $0 and has no account numbers.  The $0 transaction can't be deleted or edited.  I have used Batch Recovery on this batch several times but even recovered I cannot delete the transaction or the batch.

Typically deleting the batch deletes the entries associated with the batch.  If you can't delete the batch, in Financial > Transactions > Batches, then any error you receive would help us guide you further in addressing this issue.

How do we delete the $0 journal entry tied to the batch.

I can see no picture, must be missing. Is this a live environment on which you performed the retirement several times ?

How about deleting the asset and entering a new one with the new opening balance ? You will have to correct the GL manually regarding the asset cost account. As for the pending journals, get them deleted. By doing this, you will simply get rid of the corrupted data and ensure keeping the GL and FA tied together.

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

It is not resolved.  I'm still fooling around with it.

Is this resolved or still open ?

Oh I it's NOT empty now.  Shows Available and 1 transaction.  And when I go to the batch and attempt to delete the transaction, it will not allow it.  I guess the pic didn't show up.  I have two entries in the Financial Series Posting window:

One from today after running check links where I got an error 'The transaction batch headers record for batch  has been added.  Please reconcile batches and FATRX00000135.

I ran check links and now have an new empty batch which i named check links.
