Fixed Asset Projected Value Report (RDLC Layout) Question

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hello BC Community,

I have a requirement to create an RDLC layout that prints FA depreciation and book value side by side (grouped on the FA posting date). I figured I could use FA Projected Value report. I started customizing the report in order to get what I need and I'm halfway there, but I can't seem to get the report to do exactly what I need and hopefully you can help.

Below is how I've customized the report - this is not the final report, just my customization so far:

This is the excel output:

What I need is to have one FA Posting date column, and then have all of the details show up side by side, but the report keeps creating a new posting group for every FA. Essentially push up all of the details for which I've drawn arrows for...Perhaps I'm not grouping correctly?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Igor

    Igor,

I am not a programmer but have you tried Jet Reports? This would be a simpler approach and can be accomplish in Excel without the problems y0ou are having.

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for the recommendation, but we've already tried Jet Reports and we found that it has some of the same constraints that are in the base package of BC. Hence, why we're making some customizations. Anyone else worked with the FA - Projected Value report? Our goal is to have the report print our assets grouped in columns rather than row by row. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Igor
