Project open in work file

Dear Community,

Hope all doing great.:)

Need little help. I am unable to run revenue recognition of project as it says "Project number already exist in WORK File" How can I check where my project is still exist in work file?

    Hello Jozy,

    Thank you for your post.  The first thing to do in this situation would be to clear out the Revenue Recognition Entry window and then use the Document Number Lookup to see if there are any entries already saved.  If there are, pull them up and check to see if the project in question is already listed on any of those entries.  If you do find the project listed on another transaction, you can either remove it from that entry, delete the entry completely, or process it on that particular entry that is already started.

    If that does not correct the issue, or you do not find the project listed on any transactions that are in Work, you likely have a record stuck in the Project Accounting Revenue Recognition Work tables.  At that point, I would recommend opening a support case with the Dynamics GP Support team for further investigation, as we will not want to go about clearing out records for Revenue Recognition without evaluating the situation the entry is in first.
