I would like to control yearly budget for customer. How can I preset that at starting the budget year?

You can manage yearly budgets for specific customers by using the G/L Budgets feature in Business Central. Although G/L Budgets are typically used for general ledger accounts, you can extend this by setting up dimensions—such as a customer-specific dimension—and assigning budget entries against it.

To do this:

1. Go to G/L Budgets, create a new budget for the year.

2. Use a global or shortcut dimension to represent the customer (e.g., a dimension called “Customer” with values for each customer).

3. Enter your budget amounts by period using the customer dimension.

This allows you to monitor actual vs. budgeted sales per customer via reports like Account Schedules or Analysis Views.

You can manage by "G/L Budget" Or for Specific Customers you can use the field "Credit Limit" for the same.

We do have a GL Budgeting in Business central but that engages GL accounts, for Customer you need to marry with some work arounds.
