Document attachment to historical posted invoice

Hello all, I was wondering does anyone know if it is possible to attach a document (pdf, word, jpeg...) to a sales invoice once it has been posted and is in history? I can look up all my old invoices and can look at the documents which had been attached before posting, but can not add them. Is there something that I am missing or did Microsoft not add this feature?

    I can in GP 2013 Mark.  What version are you on?

    Hi Frank, I am on version 12.00.1343. Just to clarify, I am referring to doing an Inquiry -> Sales -> Sales Documents, selecting the paperclip to open the document attachment window. From here all I have is the preview option.

    Interesting.  12.00 is GP 2013.  I can attach a file to an Historical doc in Sales Document Inquiry.  Maybe a security issue?  Can you attach a file to open documents?  is your OLE path set? (points to the folder where docs are saved as attachments).

    Frank: Not sure if it is a security issue, I am a power user in GP and sysadmin in SQL. Yes, I can attach and preview files before the document is posted. Yes, the OLE path is set in the Dex.ini file.

    Mark, I misread your second post - thought you were referring to the Doc attachment in the note field.  The window that opens when you click the paper clip in the sales doc inquiry window is an inquiry window itself.  You cannot attach a document here.  However, you could attach it in the note field.  Sorry for the confusion.

    Well, nothing more valuable to add up. You just can't attach documents to posted transactions. You may consider this post for further illustration;
