We are following these steps to create a repeat PO: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/procurement/tasks/create-repeat-purchase-order

But when we click okay, we are getting the error below.  Do you know why we are getting the error and how to fix it?  We did not put any project information on the PO before clicking the okay button for the prior into to be copied over.

Does the PO that you want to copy has been generated from a project?

Yes, about 90% of our POs are generated from a project.

    Hi Jennifer,

The error shows as a project wasn’t specified while creating a PO. When you create a PO manually through Procurement and Sourcing/Accounts Payable, you will have to specify project after specifying vendor. If you are copying a PO that was created using project, you will have to add the project to PO while creating it. You can refer to the image for adding project to PO.

After that if you copy the PO, you should be able to copy it.

Let us know if this resolve your issue.

Hi, this did get us past the first error but the new PO was created with a different project than I had put on the new PO.

I created the new PO with project number 00001068-001 but the new PO was created with 00001100-001 but trying to use the same task code for 00001068-001, which is giving us an error (as it should).

So, it changed the project number but kept the activity number.

Did it created the PO with Project 00001100-001 when you selected the Project 00001068-001?

It would be great if you can share a few screenshots for explanation.

I think I figured it out.  If I choose "Copy precisely" it overrides the project number I put on the new PO with the project from the PO I am copying from but the activity number doesn't change.

As long as I don't choose copy precisely, the info remained as I expected it to.

    Thank you for your help!
