Is there a user guide for field level security available to help assist us? We want to make the Sales Account number field mandatory on a customer card. Can field level security handle this type of action?
We want to make sure when our clerks our adding new customers that they must complete that field.
We are on GP 18.5.
Any input is appreciated.

I am the creator of Field Level Security.
It cannot be used to make a field required.
You could use Modifier to make the field required on the accounts window.
That will stop it from saving with the not all required fields are completed message, but it will not open the accounts window to show them the that needs entering.
Using GP Power Tools we can easily make a field required, even when on a sub window and we could open the sub window and set the focus to the field when it has not been entered and display a message of your choosing.

Thanks for letting me know. Is GP Power Tools available to everyone or does it need purchased? Is this something our developers would have to use to get this done?
GP Power Tools used to be the called the Support Debugging Tool, but was rebranding when I left Microsoft. It would need to be purchased but is excellent value once you see what it can do for you.
