Hi,

I would like to install the RMS 2.0 in the SBS 2008 Server that had  the Sql 2005 server.  Because my windows 2008 server had the SQL 2005 in that,  When I install RMS 2.0 and skip the part to install the Sql 2005 express.  I can not connect to rmssample data base when running administrator,  it won't recognize the user sa and blank password.  Any ideas how to setup this?

Hai

The SQL Server installation may have a named instance of SQLEXPRESS, whereas RMS uses the default instance of MSSQLSERVER.  Go to start - run - services.msc and scroll to the SQL Server service and see the instance name.  If you are only running RMS on that SQL Server, you can install the MSSQLSERVER default instance then delete the SQLEXPRESS named instance.  Hope this helps.

I just upgraded sql 2000 to 2008r2. I removed the sql 200 and Reinstalled the 2008r2. You should not have any problem. Makesure you back up first and You also need to install window powershell. and You also have to install  SQL Server 2005 Backward Compatibility Componets .  www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx 99bcb4&displaylang=en

The x86 version is for Windows 32 bit, x64 is for 64 bit. Don't mess with the IA64 version.

When you run it, you can select all of the options, but all you really need is just the line ending in SQL-DMO  which I think is the second one down.

See link below it will help you to install the 2008
