Can Anyone point me towards the right direction, on how i can use a console App to do full migration from Spreadsheet(CSV or Xls) to an online D365. I have seen other post on this, but no specific direction on where I can look at step by step article on how to create a console app in achieving this.

Thanks

Joseph McGregor Thank you for this, it is so helpful. I will go through every line of the code and adjust accordingly.

    Hi Boss

I have an open source app which includes a feature for importing data from Excel into records in dynamics

This article gives a brief about the feature josephmcmac.wordpress.com/.../import-excel-data-in-josephm-dynamics-365-dev-app

The app can be downloaded here github.com/.../latest

Also the code is all open source. If the app does not meet your need OOTB you could clone the git repository and adjust the code accordingly, though be aware it has substantially more code to find your way through than a simple console application

    Hope this helps

    Hi

You could refer to my quick start application, on the following GitHub page, to get your console application connected to CRM

    github.com/.../CRMServiceClientQuickStart

You could use the CSV helper library to load and parse and then update/create records in CRM

    joshclose.github.io/CsvHelper

The following links would be useful as well

    mkonrad.blogspot.com/.../simple-reading-of-csv-files-csvhelper.html

    community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-read-a-csv-file-in-simplest-way-possible

    github.com/.../729
