'Must enter price at the POS' option

If, at the till, I Set Customer to one whose Price Level in Customer Options is set to 'Price A' and then sell an Item whose 'Must enter price at the POS' option is set, the price that I enter in the dialogue does not appear on the till screen.

I assume that the dialogue effectively enters 'Price' for the Item rather than all the Price Levels.

Does anyone know of a way around this problem?

    What if you enter the item and price before setting the customer?

    Yes, that works, but I don't really want to restrict the cashiers to a particular sequence of operations.

    However, see my answer which I learned from another source.

    I have learned from another source that, if Price A is set to a very high figure, the entered price will be used correctly.
