How to change Company Information field Registration No.?

After upgrade to 23.3 I was not able to post anything before I entered a value in field Registration No. This seems to be a required field now.

After I entered a value I can now post again, but I can't change the field, so do any one know what to do if I entered a wrong value?

I have raised the question to my BC pusher/partner and he told me that I could just hav entered /tempreg/ - then the field would not have been locked. That would have been nice to know before entering wrong value that can not be changed.

If anyone else is prompted to enter this field I suggest you enter tempreg until you find out what this is used for.

This stuff about saving data for 5 years is interesting, because it says noting about that in documentation, so this is actually just an other prof that this is a rubbish implementation/documentation of new Danish Bookkeeping Act. There are certainly room for improvement.

You say that changing the field (to correct value) would be treated as fraud, trying to avoid keeping data. I would say it is more fraudulent to keep the data for 5 years with reference to a wrong CVR number.

I am also using the system in Denmark for a "company" that is not really a company but rather an association that is not regulated by the Danish Bookkeeping Act. Still I have to enter a CVR number.

I can live with all this, and I'm sure I can not be convicted for fraud or even put on trial for this technical nonsens, but I'm not as happy a MS customer as I used to be.

Entering the CVR Number in the Registration No. field is mandatory based on new Danish Bookkeeping Act. It is must have so, data can be kept for 5 years based on CVR No. Unfortunately, this is required by the law and not Microsoft wish. This is not required for Nemhandel registration, as you can work without Nemhandel registration, but it ensures we are compliant by the law keeping data for 5 years. This is not possible to change this number later, as it would be treated as a fraud, trying to avoid keeping data. Communication about all those changes with DK partners were organized through Microsoft Yammer channel, conference sessions, BC launch events, OfficeHours, so we tried to have updated all partners, so they can communicate with users before this blocking happens.

your post gave the answer, but when I try to mark your post as "The answer", I crash the webside. I will try again later.

Anyway, the implementation of this Nemhandel is done very badly and full of errors.

My companies were blocked/not allowed to do any postings before the Registration no was entered. After reading the documentation, it seems that this Registration no. should not be a requirement. It is only a requirement if we want to use EDI / OIOUBL / Nemhandel / e-documents (or what ever we want to call it). We do not want to use EDI (for now), but still the field was required.

Also the field should only be blocked for input if our CVR number is registret in Nemhandelsregistret. It is not, but the field is still output only.

Also the documentation is full of errors. For example below note saying that if the registration not valid, "you can use e-documents" - it should probably instead say "you can not use e-documents".

So I hope that Microsoft sent this back to the programmers - quickly please.

I found that it is part of a Localization update for Denmark.

The field should according to documentation only be locked when the CVR number is validated with Nemhandel. My companies are not at all registred with Nemhandel, so they could never be validated with Nemhandel, and then the field should not be locked.

I have reported this as an error to my BC partner, but thanks for your input.

Hi, is this a custom function? I looked at the standard features and didn't find the controls you mentioned.

The default is empty, and it is not locked even if I enter a value.
