Navigation Buttons (or something)

Hi there,

I'm wondering if it's possible (without coding experience) to either show navigation or add navigation buttons/links to contacts/accounts to allow users to jump to different sections easily?

We maintain a lot of information about our clients and as it stands now, users have to keep scrolling down the page until they find what they're looking for.

Thanks

    Hi..

Unfortunately there is not OOB functionality for this requirement in CRM.

You can arrange your form in multiple tabs and user can click on tab to collapse / expand.

and open only one tab by default. this way user will see only one tab and if want to find some information then they will click on particular tab and that tab will be expanded.. this way user will not need to scroll too much.

Another option is add HTML web resource on the top your form, add some buttons in HTML web resources and on button click navigate user to associated section.

Hope this will give you some idea..

    Hi Trevor,

Just to add a little bit of more information to Mahadeou's response, you can explore the CRM 2013 Quick Navigation Solution, it may help you in your requirement  jlattimer.blogspot.com/.../crm-2013-quick-navigation.html

    The codeplex link; crm2013quicknavigation.codeplex.com

    Good Luck!

    Hi Trevor,

There are lots of configuration options:

    1. As Mahadeo stated you can have tabs twisted up (collapsed) when the user enters the page, so just the headers for the tabs are shown, and then they can expand the section(s) they need to look at.  This is easily configurable - go into the form view and click on the tab and set to collapsed.

    2. Are you making good use of the BPFs - that should mean a lot less scrolling down. Each stage can have up to 30 steps.  You can have up to 30 stages in a process flow.

    3. Also - depending on the screen size your users are playing with you can have 3 or even 6 items across the page.  Sections and formats - on the form view.

    4. You can also create different views for different teams - so that the stuff that each team needs to see is nearer the top for them.

Thanks everyone! I've decided to go the easy route and just have each section collapse.
