Previously we hosted Business Central on our own server as well as our own SQL server. I had an ODBC SQL set up which allowed me to run queries in Access directly to the Business Central Tables. Now that we moved to Saas and Azure our data is hosted in the cloud. Is it possible to set up an ODBC to the data to run Queries. I know in Excel there is the ability to do this through Odata feed, but this is not available in Access.
In BC Saas there is no direct access to the underlying database. Instead you can use the APIs and web services:
These APIs you can then, for example, use in Power BI to import the data. Excel also has the possibility to use APIs and web services. The Power Platform too (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse,...)
About Access I have no idea, who uses that anymore by the way ;-)
