I can see in my project that I have a folder named .altemplates, which contains 2 json files:
Does anyone know what the files are used for ?
Never seen that. Maybe they comes from another extension that extends AL Language?
E.g. AL Object Designer or AZ AL Dev tools or others?...
What VSIX are you using? version 16?
AL Object Designer creates that folder. You can safely ignore it from source control.
The idea is that you can define custom object-level snippets - similar to the above 2 examples - that would speed up development. These snippets can be used via Object Designer window. However, due to lack of feedback on this feature, it's been deactivated by default in newer versions.
