How to expose D365 FO Custom service with PUT http verb

I have a requirement to expose D365 FO custom service as PUT service and extract some header data from the http headers. I get a 405 'Method not allowed' exception when I invoke the service as PUT. Works fine for GET and POST verbs. Is this a limitation in FO? Also, how can the HttpRequest headers be read in the custom service?

Hi Will, Its a custom service with the standard custom service url of BaseUrl/api/services/[ServiceGroup]/Service/Method. This method accepts a parameter. The service works fine as a POST, but I get a method not allowed exception for PUT request.
