i want to duplicate a legal entity and rename it, what is the fastest way to do it?

Hi Naveen,

Refer to the following DOC:

You can use the standard functions (Data Management-Copy into a legal entity) in D365.

Hi Naveen Kumar,

You can try the copy data into legal entity feature available in data management for D365. You just have to keep maintain the sequence in which you have to create the relation for copying data.

Like for example, you would have to copy customer groups first in order to copy customers from one legal entity to the other.

What would you expect to be duplicated? Only the Legal Entity in legal entities form? Or all master data? All transactions? What is the business requirement behind your question?

Hello,

we have a development environment, and we have to prepare a POC for which we need to create a legal entity, now i want to create one legal entity with basic configuration like with default COA, default posting profiles and basic setups so that we can post purchase orders and sales orders. So that whenever we are to prepare a POC for a new requirement we can replicate this legal entity and further configure it match the requirement, this will save time in setup the basic entity,

Hi Naveen,

You will be able to complete these tasks from the Copy data into legal entity feature. It will be less time consuming then to create a new company by manual data upload.

One option is having a separate system for this "Basic company" data. Whenever you start a POC, you deploy a new system, and copy this template database in that system.

we no longer have company copy as was in older versions
