Windows 7 Pro 64 bit as a client to a Win XP Pro server

I am adding a Win 7 Client to my POS Network.  I have installed the virtual XP machine, but can not see the rest of my computers on the network in the virtual window.  I am aware of a HomeGroup and a WorkGroup  issue.  How do I connect the Win 7 machine to the XP MsHome group.  I can see all the computers on the Win 7 machine, but none of them on the Win 7 Virtual screen.  In addition I can not see the virtual machine on the XP machines.  I can see the Win 7 Workgroup and the MsHome networks on the XP machines.  Help!!

    Thanks Jeff.

I was informed that Win 7 Pro was needed because it could address some of the XP issues, and assumed that the Virtual Mode was needed.  Thanks again, I will proceed with setting up RMS in Win7.

Go for it, works inWin 7  32 & 64b just fine.

You need to fire the person who told you about the Virtual PC mode! ;-)

I was under the understanding that I had to load RMS  Version 2.0 in Virtual machine when running Windows 7.  Are you implying that I just install RMS in Windows 7, and proceed from there?

Sorry,  can you clarify why you're setting up the virtual machine? We've got several RMS point of sale  stations running on Windows 7 that connect to a Store Ops Database running Windows Xp Pro without issues. Are you running POS 2009?
