Translations not getting updated

Hello,

I am using CRM 2016 online update 1 application .Have done few changes on display text for specific fields in my DEV environment (which holds all the Unmanaged solutions) on a solution in which there is the Account, Contact entity.

In DEV, the changes are OK after publishing all customizations, but is not updated in the target Production environment under which I imported the solution as Managed.

Please advise .

    Hi,

Do you have any solution or Workaround so far?

I'm experiencing a very similar issue.

In DEV the Labels (tab and section headers) are translated but in Production a few of them are not applied.

I noticed that the base language of these labels is missing in managed Export.

    E.g.

    Base: English, Additional: German

For working translation english and german label translation exists in exported managed solution.

For labels related to this issue only german labels exist.

    Hi,

i would recommand to export the translation from to dev and import them in prod. It should update the fields name. Or better export the translations from both environment and compare them. Then fix the differences.

    Hi Guillaume,

this is exactly the bahaviour I am expecting but is not as it behaves.

If you mean Import Translation as Excel Import - this does not work as LabelIds are unique per organization.

Exporting as solution is the issue i have described above which does somehow not work 100%.

I know there are differences between dev and prod but i don't know how to fix them within using a default managed export.

I had the same issue with some field labels that  aren't updated with the additional language; workaround that worked for me was to create a new section, put in the field(s) that aren't updated with the correct label(s). Save& publish -> Export translations and edit the CRMtranslations.xml file with the correct additional label(s). Import transaltions back into dev.

Hello there. I am having the same issue at the moment. I've also exported the default solution to check if there is anything overriding the translation but everything seems okay.

Did you manage to solve this issue?

Did you find a solution? I am having an issue that is very similar

Hi there. We've found out that this is being caused by an active layer residing within the solution. I would recommend you to check the solution layers of the field that is not being translated. I will update this question when we have resolved the issue.
