How can I pass customer from parent entity to child entity

Posted on by 107
Hi,

I have and entity called /Know your customer/. It it is linked to a customer, Customer is its parent entity
I have created a new child entity called /Checks/ whish is a child of the /Know your customer/ entity.

When I create a new check record, I want to pull in through the customer, see attached. How can I do this?

Thanks,
Ollie

    Hi Ollie,
    Image not loading.
Can you elaborate on 'pulling in through customers'?
There is no direct relationship between 'check' and 'customer'.
What information are you trying to put on the 'check' record?
What is the role of 'Know your customer' here?
     My guess is:
A newly created 'check' record that needs to get the customer on 'know your customer'?
If so, you can use multiple ways to achieve it: quick view form, calculated field, data mapping and workflow...

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it answer your question! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah
