Sales Line Comment Work and History Table- Check Links

Hello Everyone,

I posted a few weeks ago regarding a Sales Line Item Comment being removed randomly and without cause. This is in Microsoft GP 9. Recently, I was skimming through the Check links log and found this:

"A record for Order ORDXXX was removed from the Sales Line Comment Work and History table; no corresponding record was found in the Sales Transaction Amounts History table."

I then get a helpdesk ticket this morning asking why the Sales Line Comment on ORDXXX has been removed.

I am wondering why this occurs and how I can prevent it.

Did the line item for the order get deleted?   Check links will only remove affiliated information if the header or detail record does not exist.

If any line of the order deleted or header not matched with line items, Check links will delete the unmatched/unwanted records from the orders.

While Soma is correct as to why check links removed the data, the real question is why did the comments become disconnected.

    1.  Do you have any third party products installed?  If so, please tell us which ones.

    2.  Has anyone done any custom programming on your site?

    3.  Has anyone been tinkering in the database?
