the best way to move on-hand inventory from one location to another warehouse

Hi all,

What is the best way to move on-hand inventory from one location to another warehouse? Both warehouses are the part of the same site. Actually right now I am using transfer journal but I not sure that is the best way to do that and I often get issues with license plates.

In fact these items are already in another warehouse - therefore I am not interested in pick/pack and so on.

Hello Maria,

You are referring to License Plate so I aassume that both these warehouses are enabled for Warehouse Processes and that you have a Mobile Device set-up for other warehouse tasks.

You can create a Mobile Device Menu item for Warehouse Transfer and add it to the Mobile Device Menu. In Warehouse Management Parameters, you will need to identify a Transfer Journal to be used for this transfer. With the mobile, you follow the same flow as usual but after confirmation you select the destination warehouse and location. When the work is completed, the item's inventory has moved.
