Microsoft CRM and ADX Studio Notes (annotation) Integration

I am setting up an ADX Studio portal for my CRM instance using a trial version of ADX Studio. I have the Note functionality working, or mostly so, according to the documentation that I have been able to find. However, I am curious about the *WEB* prefix. I understand that Notes created in the portal get this prefix appended to them automatically, and that this prefix seems to be required to display notes in the portal. Is this still the case? Is there a solution for displaying notes in the portal that does not involve requiring the *WEB* prefix? I think I remember reading that I can create a process that would add this prefix to the pre-existing notes, but I would like to know if there is any better way/update approach to this before I proceed.

Thanks,

Ken

    Hi Ken,

You can write window service which will read the existing Notes and append that with *WEB*. If you have acess to CRM SQL DB then you can fire a SQL update Query to update the Notes data.

Mark it as Answered if it solves your problem.

    Thanks,

    Laksh

I haven't seen any "process" for updating the Notes but would be curious if someone came up with something tricky. I would probably use SSIS and Kingswaysoft's connector for CRM and go update all the notes that way.

If you had any luck getting the notes on a edit Entity Form for Cases, please go look for my pending question on the same.
