How can we create a custom note section , when already an OOB is present in contact entity

I am trying to create a section in CRM that will allow me to attach files. I know we have OOB Notes section ( This is being used for activities tracking ) and also we have SP for document management. 
What i am looking is to have another field/section to just attach file and would like to know will it also save those content to annotation base table ?

    Hi Manu,

    The only place you can store document within CRM is Notes (and in email attachments as well). So if you are looking for your custom notes section then you need to create one. You can go with the above suggestion of creating web resource.

    Alternatively, you can create a new custom entity say Document Upload and enable notes on that entity with few field say document description. You can then add that entity as a subgrid to your entity. So now, whenever you want to upload a document, you create a new record for this entity "Document Upload:, give it a name and upload the document under the notes of this entity.

    Have a look at this solution, too:

    You can't attach to anything else but notes, so you'll have to emulate it somehow (that example above will show you how).

    You will probably need to create a web resource to do that, and upload the attachments using webapi.

    The other alternative is to use CRM Attachment Management.

    Potentially using custom HTML web resource with some javascript. Out of curiosity, annotation base table = storing at the ootb notes, what are you trying to achieve here?
