Does anyone know how to prevent using the enter keyboard key from tendering a transaction?

Not that I am aware of - aside from a possible customization.

    Thanks Kevin. I thought so.

The challenge I am having is that we are using an RMS cashier profile with limited privileges to allow users to clock in/out but not to be able to tender transactions. As a result I have disabled the F2 (Lookup key) and the F12 (tender) key., they are both greyed out. However if I manually enter a lookup code I can post an item this way and if I hit the enter button on the keyboard, I can tender out the item. I am trying to restrict this profile so that no cashing/tendering is possible.

If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

I haven't tested this - so be careful - but could you block (grey out using the security settings) all the tender types so no tender can be entered by those particular users? There is also our time clock plug in for RMS which may help: rite.us/.../TimeClock.aspx

do you mean block tenders in manager, as the tender button F12 is already greyed out for that security level.

I am assuming we have to pay for the timeclock plugin license? If so the boss dont wanna spend any $$ on additional software as RMS will expire in the next few years.

Hey Kevin do you have whatsapp? May be we can exchange ideas more realtime?

    Thanks buddy

Hey Kevin I was able to resolve the issue.

I simply restricted the item lookup code field in SOPOS for the relevant security level.
