Nothing special honestly. Both the Designer and the Configuration Console need to be installed on a VM that can see your SQL Server. Of course, users requiring access to the Designer will need to remote into that VM, hence you will need RDP licenses. Now, if you are talking about the Web Viewer, you probably will want to follow the instructions outlined here www.gpug.com/.../mr-external-web-viewer which apply to both on-prem IIS or cloud deployments.
