I came across this original post and I was wondering if you can add the GL description to the Edit List ? (Right before you post the batch)

The KB only works for non-intercompany transactions. I have checked with other report writers and, as of right now, now such modification to this report exists. I am going to look into creating scripts and inserting them into a SSRS report.

The GL Distribution Reference is what I'm talking about. (I just revisited this post and realized I wasn't very spot on with my location)

Yes. KB Article KB865470 says not to use this method if you are utilizing Intercompany. Is there a way to drag in this field if you do use Intercompany?

THe only issue that I have is that when I try this KB article, it works great as long as you don't have any inter company transactions. THen it pulls the account index from the originating company. What have I left off that is causing this issue?

Thank you Jim - I'm looking to see if I can get it on the AP Edit List. We base a Crystal Report off of the "Trip #" that is entered in the description.

It would be great if I could look and verify this # before a batch is posted. Now we have to go into each entry and look at the info....

I'll keep searching for a solution.

KB865470 Will show you how to add the distrobution reference to the payables transaction edit list.

Yes, Jim's solution works for the GL Transaction Edit List.

But Payables Transaction Edit List and others, I don't think you can.

Hi. I just added the GL Distribution Field in General Transaction Edit List. If you open the report in RW and choose Allocation Amounts from the drop down, the field is called Description. I was able to get my unposted transaction GL Line Reference on the report when printing the edit list from the batch.
