Email when time entries submitted

Dear all,

Is it possible to send an email automatically when an user submit his time entries to the project approver and also when they are either rejected or approved please ?

Hi Archetype,

In send email properties page, you can select any user or queue as sender(From), then email address of the one you select in from field will send email.

So you can choose anyone you want, then you can use the email as mailbox connect to dynamics.

Hello, thanks you very much Leah Ju for your help ;). I have a little question please, do you know which mail adress will send the emails ? because we havent connected our mailboxes to dynamics

Hi Archetype,

I found that the entry status field has been changed to ‘submit’ if you click submit it.

You can create new workflow to send email automatically when entry status field has changed.

1.Go Settings > Process to create a new workflow.

2.Add 'check condition' step, which make entry status value equals 'submit' as condition.

Also, you can use other value as condition based on your needs,entry status field is an option set field, it has many items.

And it will changed to 'Approved' when it has been approved, it will changed to 'Returned' when it has been rejected.

3.Add 'send email' step under condition.

4.Save and Active the workflow.

5.Test.
