Difference b/w Post and Post and Transfer button in journal form

Hi Everyone,

What is the difference b/w post and post and transfer button in journal and how we differ from functionally put a entry in general journal.

I have tried both scenario from general journal:

1.create a general journal with one lines and click post button the record is posted .

2.create a general journal with one lines and click post and transfer button the record is also posted .

I could not understand the purpose of second one......plz let me give a solution.........

Hi Karthik,

If you have created a journal and it contains some vouchers with errors and some vouchers are correct, you can use Post and transfer to have the correct lines posted and the vouchers with errors will be copied into a new journal.

Hi Andre,

While posting the hour Journal , Whether the check box is selected and some vouchers are exist with Error, New journals are not created for which journal lines are having error. System is shows an error message.

Can you please advice, Is there any parameter settings for this process..

Hi Abila,

The Post and transfer option is not available on the Hour journal (and some others line Inventory journals). It is available on Financial journals.

Hi andre,

Thanx for your reply.. While posting the Hour journal, Posting Dialog box is coming. In the dialog box, Transfer error to a new journla check box is there. but, the check box is not working properly. can u pls give me suggestion for the check box.

Hi Kathik,

I also tried the same and for error out line it will create the new journal and for vlidated line it will post the journal, but it seems that Payment Status will be None, will it should be sent?
